The plain cairn near a cisted cairn. SRD IV:- "perhaps a stone row led 250', but only 3 stones are in position."
Some stones to E, with 3 aligned towards 59.5 true, may have been interpreted as row by RNW.

Probably a double row, with a blocking Stone at W end. Oriented (roughly) on Haytor, and more accurately on Longaford Tor, which is now (August 2016) visible from the site, whereas the view towards the east is more restricted than before. It could be imagined that the blocking stone was designed to mirror the shape of Longaford Tor.
RN Worth (1895) considered it possibly a reave.
If this is Worth 52, the position given by RH Worth in 1946 (3° 54' 58" W 50° 34' 56" N) is very inaccurate and is closer to that of Worth 51, but the description is similar, though there are signs that the row was double, and the cist (presumably that relating to Worth 51) is not in line with it.
On 17th August, 2016, a stone in this row (just E of the blocking stone) which had become loose, was repaired by a team from the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust, headed by Paul Rendell and the DNPA archaelogist Andy Crabb. The blocking stone was leaning towards the west, and some attention was also given to that. (Some conifer regrowth in the Lakehead Hill area was then removed as well).
Paul Rendell suggests there is a further row to the SE with a blocking stone at the NW end, linking this site with the Lakehead Hill stone row.

Comments
The description given in 1895, of a triple row that was destroyed by 1897, is approximately in line with, and with the same orientation,
as the surviving row, which was discovered by RHW in 1936. Butler (1991) suggests the desicription fits part of the row north of the cairn, rather than a continuation south.
Until recently (Sep 2012) the site had been covered in gorse, but it is now visible, due to swaling.

Comments
Butler (1991) suggests a double stone row of about a dozen set slabs aligned directly downhill from a cairn. On 13th Sep 2009, the immediate area downhill was gorse covered, but there are four stones further down, which might be artificially set, at 68460 73905, 68450 73891, 68448 73881 and 68445 73872. They show no significant alignment with each other or the cairn. There are similar possibly set stones in a line on the opposite slope, SE of Yar Tor.
In Sep 2012, the gorse was lower, but no stone row was apparent to this observer.
Crossing may have been referring to the Yar Tor triple row.

Sherberton Common OSGR SX 6910 7330
Comments
Destroyed by 1897, but the location is very poorly specified. Butler (1997) suggested a structure similar to that at Metherel.
Possibly that referred to in Baring-Gould A Book of Dartmoor, 1900, p54 - "on a common near Leusdon", but he says that one was
destroyed in 1898 to repair the Ashburton road.
See an article by Dr GAM Gerrard in the Newsletter of Archaeological Club of Eggesford for September 2020:-
"despite reports of its destruction the site described by R.N. Worth was found at SX 69175 73235."
A photograph and a plan are given. Dr Gerrard concludes that Jeremy Bulter correctly identified tha site to be a passageway between Bronze Age fields.
