Grinsell  reports a cairn near this ruined circle, found by the Woolners.. Turner's cairn alignment  passes to the west.
In June 2012, John and Rachel Watson surveyed the circle and surrounding area, and deposited a copy with the Archaeology Section of Dartmoor National Park.
